Heartland
I don’t believe in the falling world
Leaded by fools tied up in suits
Fluctuating numbers of pure illusion
A Wall of lies hiding the truth
Who wants a life without passion?
To dance alone on a lifeless beat
Lack of bonding and a faded trust
Cannot be the answers to this divine’s cheat
Love might have been replaced by lust
Fuelled by fear of true connections
The lost meaning of what really matters
Is sadly ruling a world living for distractions
My heart fondly believe in a land of Grace
Away from the blurring sea of futility
A colourful oasis where love abounds
Through shared moments of humility
This messy storm will be hitting hard
But it will never alter my hopeful vision
Refusing to listen to those darkened speeches
I will keep dreaming of global cooperation
Through my bright rose coloured glasses
I nurture my belief in fair humanity
Walking on the land of my grateful heart
The truth is always so easy to see
